Matthew Person has over two decades of experience helping companies create and capture enterprise value through strategic growth, M&A, and organizational alignment. He is the founder of Town Square Advisors, a boutique advisory and consulting firm where he developed the proprietary Square Management System—a framework for improving performance through better organizational design.
Matthew has led global M&A and inorganic growth strategy for multiple private equity-backed businesses, serving as a senior member of executive teams across the technology and data sectors. His experience spans both buy-side leadership and sell-side advisory, having also worked as an investment banker advising privately held middle-market companies.

Earlier in his career, Matthew spent more than a decade in professional sports management, where he helped lead multiple franchises to record-setting performance and earned national recognition for operational excellence.

A recognized thought leader, Matthew has been a featured speaker at industry events, podcasts and webinars, guest lectured at academic institutions, and was named a “40 Under 40” business professional. He holds an MBA and MS in Finance from Boston College and is also a graduate of Colgate University. Matt lives in the Boston area with his wife and two children and in his spare time, he enjoys golf, classic cars, stand-up comedy, and discovering new restaurants."
